Our Story
Jeff and Ken met in 1992 while working in the Civil Engineering field as Land Surveyor’s. They soon found that they share a passion for classic cars, muscle cars, and hot rods. Over the years in their travels, they have come across many classic cars rotting away in fields, garages, and barns. They have always dreamed of opening their own shop, and that dream became a reality in 2016 when they founded Zenith Kustoms. The name Zenith is a land surveying term meaning “the pinnacle, top, or highest”. While brainstorming names for the shop, the two decided on Zenith Kustoms, paying homage to their careers as land surveyors. To honor our veterans, Zenith Kustoms helps veteran groups raise money and awareness by hosting car shows and other car events.
Meet the Zenith Kustoms Crew
Jeff has been in or around the car culture his entire life and is a lifelong Mopar lover. He has personally owned over 20 classic vehicles and bought his first at the age of 14. He currently owns a ’77 Dodge Aspen R/T Super Pac. He and his father built their first Rod together in a small 2 car garage in back of their Gahanna, Ohio home. It’s been a lifelong dream to own and operate his own shop. In 2016, that dream became a reality.
Ken has been building, restoring and maintaining cars, trucks and bikes his whole life. He is partial to Chevys and personally owns a ’67 SS 396 4spd. Chevelle. Ken has been the go to guy in Delaware, Ohio for car maintenance. When it comes to Chevys, Kens your guy. Being detail oriented is Ken’s forte. Together with a strong knowledge of all makes and models Ken can handle anything.
Joe brings a lot to the table. With over 40 years in the paint and body industry, his reputation proceeds him. With his attention to detail, he is an invaluable asset to our team. In his spare time, Joe like spending time with family and friends and fishing with his grandchildren.
Loren has a knack for handling things that are above our paygrade like the Internet. With her detail oriented style, she knows how to organize and fill the needs of our social media and marketing requirements that are so much a part of our lives these days. Loren has her Associates from COTC and is currently pursuing a BS in Digital Audience’s with a Minor in Film and Media Studies while also pursuing a Certificate in Applied Business Data Analytics from Arizona State University.
Rance is currently attending Columbus State and seeking a Fire Science Degree. He currently works for Med Care Ambulance as well as helping out around the shop at Zenith. He hopes to pursue a career in Fire Fighting.
Spencer is a valuable asset to the shop. With years in the RV and Auto industry, he currently owns and operates his own RV repair Shop. In his spare time, if he has any, he spends time with his wife and kids.
Eric is a great Teammate. Jeff & Eric have been friends for over 50 years. Together they have built restored, bought & sold many cars over years. Eric’s knowledge of machining and fabricating is a great asset to the shop. Eric has great talent when it comes to Automotive detailing and has helped out several Dealerships over the years as a Automotive Detailer.
